Use Your Web Browser to Access GUARDIAN
Allow Users from Remote Sites Access to the System
Web-Based Work Requests
Web Based Purchase Requests (Nov 2002)
Web Based Inquiries (Nov 2002)

Everyone can use a Web Browser. Now you can take advantage of these skills by using the Web components available through GUARDIAN.  The Web-Based Work Request system allows you to put a link to the Work Request screen on your company intranet home page so that it is available to everyone in your organization. Each user that you want to grant access to the system will be assigned a login and password and they will then be able to submit Work Requests to the Maintenance department. Maintenance personnel will then review the new requests and either turn them into a GUARDIAN work order, or deny the request. Either way, the originator is kept informed by the system of the status of their request. When turning requests into work orders, maintenance personnel can:

  • Select the work order numbering series
  • Select the status to be assigned to the new work order
  • Select the equipment that the work order is to be performed against. (the originator can also do this, but most originators probably don't know the exact equipment to specify when creating their request)
  • Edit and add to the work description
  • Specify a trade to complete the work order

If you are using Work Order Approvals in the system, you will be prompted for any approval codes required to create the work order.

This is a great tool for any Maintenance department - especially Facilities Managers!
